Dianne seemed to always be rushing to get somewhere. 'It's been said that she always wanted to make the "grand entrance" by running behind. Lol...she just had SO much going on and trying to please everyone by doing what was asked. or even, doing what noone would have asked. She was an amazing human being. After all the work she did, running around everywhere, taking care of business, she always managed to have time for someone. She even had time to make quilts.;"How did she do that?!"
I would love to have known her secret, but maybe now, after she has left us, we can all see what burdens she was carrying., I wish she would have asked someone for help!
I miss her and everyone else gone before, I hope she has found peace where she belongs, with the angels that watch over all those she loves. I hope we can all learn to slow down a little, and not to forget that in any split second, it will be one of us., and we need to heed to that and take care of ourselves first., family second....not the other way around! I have learned that lesson myself. i'ts all about me now..family second, OH.. GOD first then me!
Born in Leitchifeild Kentucky on October 9, 1957.
Dianne was born with her twin sister Donna.
Even though she was born only a few minutes before Donna, she would always make sure everyone knew that she was the oldest.
The words will live on as will her spirit. Even though it is now chizzled in stone, her memory is forever marked on our hearts. It says it all.
Diane was employed at the Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness unit at the Department of Louisville Metro Government as a Hospital Preparedness coordinator. She formerly worked for many years at the University of Louisville Emergency Medicine Department, where she was a program coordinator.
She had many friends and co-workers, who she cared for deeply and many who loved and cared for her. She will be sadly missed by all whose hearts and lives she touched. She had a very special love for her grandson, Cayden. A special thanks to Bill Smock, MD who mentored her She had a great passion for the work she did with the Homeland Security Program and continued to work with the program in any capacity she could.
Passed away on June 16, 2008.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clara Dutschke Kelley and father, Earl W. Kelley; sisters, Norma Kelley Beville, Mary Ann Kelley and Ollie MaeKelley, brother James Edward Kelley, and a nephew Tommy Lindsey.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer M. Duncan (Bryan);
sisters, Libby Kerr (Sammy), Polly Frasier (Murl), Peggy Mitchell (Dan), Patsy Lindsey (Jimmy); and her twin sister, Donna Hendrick; brothers, Earl C. Kelley and Billy W. Kelley (Cathy); grandchild, Cayden Duncan and her new grandson born March 10th, 2009 Cole Kelley Duncan.
